Run Dry Exceeds SOLAS Rating All KPM pumps will run dry with standard Neoprene and Nitrile impellers. No removal tools required to replace the impeller.  Reduced Endplate Wear TIBS TM impeller seal faces reduce friction , increase long term sealing and cut horse power consumption by 70%. These seals also wipe the shaft and stop grit reaching the seals. |

Run dry capability Exceeds SOLAS: Tested at 700RPM and 1200RPM dry for 5mins dry and 5 mins wet before prime is lost. The run dry capability has been tested by independent customers whose results have duplicated KPM's. Tests of up to 20 min run dry have been undertaken by military customers with no damage to the impeller, but slight loss in prime height. |

Pumps in abrasive waters tend to wear on one side and causes loss of prime and performance. The KPM pump chamber can be rotated which will prolong the pump life by 75% above competitors offerings. When the liner or end plates have worn they can be simply replaced without buying a whole pump chamber which is costly and difficult to obtain. | |
